Radhika Madan Says She Personally Requested an Audition for Lust Stories 3

Actress Radhika Madan has opened up about her journey in the entertainment industry and revealed that she personally requested an audition to become part of the upcoming web series Lust Stories 3. The actress, who started her career on television before making a successful transition to Bollywood, shared that she is a huge admirer of director Shakun Batra and was determined to work with him. Speaking about the project, Radhika said that as soon as she heard about “Lust Stories 3,” she made efforts to audition for the role herself. She explained that in the film industry, there is intense competition for every opportunity, and actors constantly need to prove their talent. According to her, she cannot afford to deliver an average performance because she does not come from a film background where second chances are easily available. She believes survival in the industry depends entirely on hard work and consistent performances. The actress also spoke honestly about approaching filmmakers for auditions. Radhika shared that although she now receives many project offers, she still has no hesitation in asking for an audition if she truly wants a role. She emphasized that she has no ego when it comes to work and is willing to do whatever is necessary to secure meaningful projects. During the conversation, Radhika also revealed one of the challenges she has faced in Bollywood. She mentioned that she feels disappointed when she is denied even an audition opportunity because of her surname or lack of industry connections. However, she added that rejection after an audition does not bother her because she finds satisfaction in knowing that she gave her best effort. She said she is never ashamed of standing in line again for another opportunity because acting is her passion. Radhika further expressed gratitude for entering the industry at a time when strong female characters are becoming more prominent in films and web series. She credited the women before her for creating opportunities for actresses today and said she hopes to continue that legacy through her work.
